Every young
person deserves
to thrive.
Driven by belief in young people, we take action so no young person in Newham misses out on a safe space, a trusted adult, and a real chance at a better future.
Why we exist
Every young person belongs here.
No young person should ever feel left out. Every child aged 3–18 is welcomed into all of our programmes, regardless of background, ethnicity or disability, seen, supported and given every chance to belong.

Everything we do at Youth Active is to deliver effective youth work for all young people in Newham, through sport, outdoor activity, creative arts and coding — completely free.

What we do
- Sport and movement that builds healthy habits for life
- Trusted adults and a community that shows up when it's hard
- Outdoor activity that gets young people away from a screen
- Real leadership roles with actual responsibility

What makes us different
It started when we noticed young people with nowhere to go, and we've been building something better ever since, alongside trusted adults who show up week after week. Every session is built around the same idea: healthy habits, real friendships and a genuine sense of belonging.
More than sessions
Guidance and skills for life
I really love what the organisation is doing right now for the younger generation. Our community needs more diversity and transparency. It is inspiring to see how engaged these young people are!
