Quick answers

Young mums

Support for young mothers in Newham

Being a young mum is a lot, especially when you are trying to sort housing, money and childcare at the same time. You do not have to have it all together to come here. We help young mothers understand their rights, access benefits and find the right local support.

Housing rights

If you are pregnant or have a child and nowhere stable to live, you are in priority need under housing law. The council must house you.

Benefits and money

You may be able to get Universal Credit, Child Benefit and the Sure Start Maternity Grant (one-off £500). We can help you apply.

Free childcare

Children aged 3 to 4 in England get 15 free hours of childcare per week. We can help you find a local place and get registered.

Someone to talk to

If you are struggling, you are allowed to say so. Our team will listen without judging. No appointment needed.

Mentoring

Targeted Kicks
